Echos of the Past
After photographing the musician, Fred, with his instruments a few weeks ago
, it occurred to me that I should photograph just the instruments with a light painting technique. It's a tedious process that results in one image per subject. But I love the end result! The cool thing is that this technique can be done with a car, motorcycle, or even a small treasured keepsake. I'll be playing with other objects in the future!

Model Call for Hollywood Glamour Lighting Shoots
Model Call for high school junior models... with a with strong cheekbone structure. I need to teach photographers a lighting style for faces with sculptured cheekbones like these. (No charge for the studio session. I like to use high school juniors so I can use that for double duty... to help spread the good word about our senior photography to that upcoming class.) Here are examples of some past seniors I photographed with the types of faces I need for the lighting style I'll be teaching.

Timeless Tweens Model Call!
Graduating from grade school was a big deal for me. I would have loved to have a portrait done at that self-aware age. That's why I think this is so important... as part of personal statement and a self-esteem builder.
We have done a few "tween" portraits over the years, and many were outdoors, but now I'd like to offer a special on doing a classic and timeless indoor portrait as part of a future promotion we'll be doing on this in-be"tween" time in everyone's life. This can be created in our studio or in your home, again, at no charge!
We're looking for teens between the ages of 11 and 13 to build our repertoire and help spread the word about our fine art portraiture. There is NO CHARGE for the photo session, and no obligation to purchase. (Yes, if you're interested, you can purchase prints at 20% off all prices, but there is no pressure to do so.) Spitfire Centenarian
Anyone who knows Clara Moll knows she's surprisingly spry and strong... especially for her 105 years of age. Happenstance caused our paths to cross 5 years ago when I passed by her as she was raking leaves outside. I snapped a photo and was honored that they chose to use that snapshot for her 100th birthday card. At her party, she demonstrated her agility by touching her toes numerous times...something many people 300 years her junior can't do.
Quite a character. And why I HAD to photograph her again. I'll have to do this again in another 5 years... if I'm still alive.
