In the mid 1990s, I photographed two sisters with their mom... the first image. That started a trend to create distinctive wall portraits for each of the siblings as they became high school seniors. We all have our favorites from a photo session, but these were their choices. It was an honor to be entrusted with capturing a slice of their lives.
I have to share a comment the mom said early on. She came from a large, loving, religious and close-knit farming family of 13. She told me, "I can't imagine NOT having kids in the house." Well, now her "kids" are all grown. Life really does pass by too quickly. But I'll bet the grandkids will soon be filling that house with the same joy.
