I work VERY hard at getting great light, flattering poses, and communicative expressions. It's pretty much all I do. But sometimes, ya gotta let go. This image is probably not going to interest the client. But that never stopped me. In fact I NEVER shoot for the client. I shoot for myself. I have to please myself first. Then those who like what I do are attracted to my photography... and everyone is happy.
That said, I incorporate as much of their interests and lifstyle into the work as possible becase those are the pictirial stories I enjoy telling.
We go to where they want to go and then I find stuff that is photographable. That's what today's image is about. They chose an art farm that had this old truck. Well, old trucks and photographers go together like bacon and Twinkies! A match made in Heaven.
The light is horrible. The expression is lifeless. The composition is weak. The color is messed up. You can hardly find her in all that mess. But you know what, I love it more the more I stare at it.
