Shirley's dad used to say that, emphasizing "time" by spelling it in the air with his finger, reacting to all the work he had to do, and never enough time. Well as the summer continues, the sunset comes faster, and although I try start sooner, sometimes travel and other time-consuming aspects mean it gets dark a bit sooner than I'd like.
That was the case for Melissa. She wanted to go to Lake Michigan for a few pix. But it was getting too close to sunset so we decided to finish up at her home, then go to Lake Michigan tomorrow... at SUNRISE!
The sunrise was predicted to be 5:35 and sunny. It was critical to be there before it rises. Once the sun is up, we're finished, since hard sunlight isn't going to work. We got a bit of a late start leaving her home for the lake, but there was a thin layer of clouds at the horizon that allowed us to be a few minutes late for the sunrise. Good thing, otherwise we'd have been sunk.
We ended up getting some great images, and there are a few in the video.
