We were planning to shoot Sara and her Jet Ski at 9am, but it was drizzling really hard. I can't recall ever seeing drizzle/mist come down sideways.
So we waited two hours and were rewarded with an incredible sky! Storms are GREAT because we almost always get a gorgeous sky afterward.
Here's Sara's shortie show:
OK, I'm a homebody. I'd rather work around Barton than travel. But sometimes it's a treat to visit other places. For Lizzie, we went to the Third Ward, Bradford Beach, and a few other stops in Milwaukee. This was done in a park across from her mom's place on the east side.
Nice weather, pretty girl, acceptable photographer. (!)
Here's her sneak preview show:
A few times this year we panicked and allowed sessions to be rescheduled because it was threatening to rain. Never fails... it ALWAYS turns out perfect anyways! So now we try to NOT let a forecast change the appointment. Weather forecasters are correct about as often as politicians are!
Besides... dak skies are EXCELLENT for portraits. It rained during most of Jared's session... but just LOOK at the images in the slide show! SUPERB! (If I do say so myself.)
Sam's session was very different... her house is unusual as is her yard. Both can be photogenic, but it requires soft light. We started early to give us time for travel to Lake Michigan later, but because it was early in the day, we had to wait for the clouds to soften the sun for some outside images. But it really paid off.
And here's Sam's video. Terrific, wasn't it?
A few years ago we photographed her older sister, and had a blast. Now it's Laura's turn to shine. The thrill of doing what I do is the challenge of not having a clue as to what we'll do, yet always end up pleasing everyone... the senior, the parents and most importantly... ME!!!
Here's her video:
And one of my favorite images from her session...
I hadn't done a morning session in years, so I was concerned about thelight. Sunlight is a challenge, but we found enough shade to make it work. Carissa has that model look that's so fun to photograph.
Here's a short video of her.
We photographed Kenzie's sister two years ago, and it was a pleasuure working with them all again.
Kenzie is an intelligent and fun person. Here's Kenzie, puttin' on the glam.
Here's a sneak preview of her show:
