We have the great fortune of documenting the first years of many kids' lives. We always enjoy the chance to photograph kids who look forward to our coming to their home. Nina is a girl who LOVES to pose! I dunno about you, but little girls like this make my heart melt. She can be a gigglegirl, or pouty puss... in a matter of seconds! So I had to be quick to capture the range of her expressions.
I've always felt that the best place to photograph kids is in or around their homes. But the challenge for me comes in returning time after time, and still getting something different each time. I've been to this wonderful client's home about a dozen times for her two older sisters. And yet I'm still finding new places and ways to make images. They had a few blankets around, so we used those. Oh and by the way, Rylee is a little doll!
My son is a race car photographer and he shoots cars at speed all the time. He does it by using two vehicles if he's hired to photograph a car, and panning if he's at a race. Either way... IT AIN'T EASY!
So the "old man" had to try it. Hey, not bad for my first attempt. Evan is my first senior guy this year. It should be a wild year!
We hosted a seminar for Southeastern Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association (SEWPPA). We expected about 50 attendees. We had 93! Needless to say (then why am I saying it?), it caused a bit of a dilemma for our group. But everyone chipped in and because of their help, it was a great success. Here are a few images created at the event. Lena, our model, was super! She's a past high school senior and hopefully a future photographer! She wants to someday photograph high school seniors.
Thanks all who attended and especially those who helped us.
